Botanical Garden forms task force for eagles

BOARD MEMBERS OF THE NORFOLK BOTANICAL GARDEN VOTED TO FORM A TASK FORCE TO STUDY THE EFFECTS OF REMOVING AN EAGLES NEST FROM THE PROPERTY. THE MOVE IS A BIG STEP IN A PUSH TO DELAY THE CITY’S PLAN TO MOVE THE NEST THIS FALL. THE U-S-D-A AND F-A-A ASKED THE CITY TO REMOVE THE NESTS- BECAUSE OF SAFETY CONCERNS WITH THE NEARBY AIRPROT. THE BOARD IS ALSO ASKING CITY MANAGER MARCUS JONES TO DELAY REMOVAL UNTIL THE STUDY IS COMPLETE.
